Harwell TCCON – 3 years of GHG measurements
September 2023, the Harwell TCCON observatory has reached three years of operational measurements. The observatory was accredited in September 2020 by the international Total Carbon Column Observatory Network (TCCON) to contribute to the international effort in greenhouse gases (GHG) measurements.
Over the last three years the observatory has improved significantly, by improving automation, and data processing streams. It has been involved in the validation of various GHG measuring satellites such as NASA OCO-2 and ESA Sentinel 5P.
The dataset is available at the CalTech repository https://tccondata.org/ , and should soon also be available on CEDA.
Below is shown an illustration of the dataset time series.
The observatory is supported by RALSpace and the National Centre for Earth Observation (NCEO).
